Ranfose Abitid Nitrisyon pou Fè Ogmante Sante (RANFOSE)

The U.

S.

Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Haiti is issuing this Funding Opportunity to solicit technical applications for RANFOSE, a $4 million four-year Health & Nutrition Activity designed to address the linked issues of micro-nutrient deficiencies and food fortification

in Haiti.

USAID expects RANFOSE to increase the availability of high-quality, fortified staple foods across the country by expanding the local production of fortified foods, ensuring the efficient and wide-spread distribution of these foods and providing clear, consistent and useful messaging for wholesale and retail consumers on the value and safety of fortified foods.

RANFOSE directly supports and contributes to the Government of Haiti (GOH)-led efforts to improve the nutrition, health, and food security of the populace.

These efforts are articulated in the Government of Haiti’s Nutrition Strategic Plan 2013-2018 (Plan Stratégique Nutrition MSPP 2013-2018).

The program objectives in this Funding Opportunity are designed to allow applicants the flexibility to develop and propose a detailed concept that includes high impact, cost-effective, and sustainable market-based interventions.

USAID encourages applicants to submit results-oriented applications that present a logical, comprehensive, concrete, and measurable set of interventions/activities to achieve the stated objectives.
