DoD Rare Cancers, Idea Development Award

The FY20 RCRP Idea Development Award mechanism promotes new ideas that are still in the early stages of development and have the potential to yield impactful data and new avenues of investigation.

This award supports conceptually innovative, high-risk/high-reward research that could lead to

credit:


critical discoveries or major advancements that will accelerate progress toward eradicating deaths and suffering from rare cancers.

Applications should include a well-formulated, testable hypothesis based on strong scientific rationale.

USAID will not accept applications from individuals.

All applicants must be legally recognized organizational entities under applicable law.

Local organizations are encouraged to apply for funding under this APS.

A local organization applicant must be a local non-governmental organization (NGO) recognized under the laws of the country in which it is domiciled.

For specific purposes of this APS, a local NGO does not include subsidiaries, affiliates, or member entities of organizations located outside of, or organized outside of, the host country or region.

Local organizations by this definition are not international organizations
