Army Futures Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Each of these agencies support missions relevant to this announcement, including hydrogen fuel cell-battery powered hybrid vehicle development, emergency response and military operations.

The development and deployment of a fuel cell-battery powered hybrid emergency relief truck could ultimately enhance their response capabilities.

Expected benefits include clean, quiet operation, load-following microgrid- capable exportable power, water production, and heat.

Under this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) ERDC- CERL is accepting applicants to build, test, and demonstrate a fuel cell-battery powered hybrid emergency relief truck.

This FOA is an example of collaboration and coordination among federal agencies, per EPACT 2005, Title VIII on hydrogen.
