Multi-Sectoral Nutrition, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Activity

The United States Government, represented by the U.

S.

Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Uganda, is seeking feedback for a planned multi-sectoral nutrition, maternal, newborn and child health activity.

The purpose of the activity is to facilitate government-led

leadership and enhance government sustainable multi-sectoral coordination efforts while applying a holistic approach to collaborating learning to accelerate gains in nutrition, maternal, newborn and child health outcomes in the country.

The illustrative results framework for the activity is based on USAID's Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy, the Preventing Maternal, Newborn and Child Deaths Strategy, the Uganda Nutrition Action Plan and the Uganda Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) sharpened plan.

In addition, the planned activity will be based on previous experience implementing similar interventions through USAID programs and has to be aligned with the USAID/Uganda Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS 2016-2021).

The activity background description, illustrative results framework and associated request for information (RFI) questions are attached to this letter.

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for information gathering and planning purposes.

The RFI does NOT represent any award commitment on the part of the U.

S.

Government, and it does NOT obligate the U.

S.

Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of any feedback to the RFI questions.

Information received as part of this RFI shall become the property of USAID therefore proprietary information that cannot be shared should not be send.

Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future Request for Proposal (RFP), if any is issued.

If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the www.fbo.gov and/or www.gsa.gov.

It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these websites for the release of any synopsis, further information and updates.
