The Citizens for Healthy Communities Project (CHCP) will empower citizens of GuatemalaÂ’s Western Highlands to sustainably improve the health and quality of life in their own communities.

Using a community-based development approach that intentionally engages historically marginalized groups (indigenous, poor, women, youth, and others) in the design and implementation of community development, CHCP will also improve citizen participation and empowerment.
