USAID/Sri Lanka Social Cohesion and Reconciliation

USAID/Sri Lanka is currently preparing a solicitation to advance peacebuilding, social cohesion and reconciliation in the country.

USAID will aim to positively transform relationships across traditional lines of division and foster the development of a common national identify among all Sri

Lankans by supporting institutions, processes and stakeholders at the national, sub-national and community levels.

As we design this new activity, we would welcome public input on the following questions:
1.

What are examples of the most successful and unsuccessful peacebuilding and reconciliation activities in Sri Lanka to date and especially in recent years.

For each example, please provide information about the most important factors that contributed to the activity’s impact or lack thereof.

2.

Who are the change agents in Sri Lankan society that have proven their interest, capacity and/or results in advancing peace and reconciliation at the sub-national and community levels? Answers could include but are not limited to individual leaders, demographic or common interest groups, organizations, and particular communities.

Please justify your responses.

Please limit your overall response to no more than two, standard, typed pages.

Responses regarding this Request for Information (RFI) are to be submitted in writing to:
Mr.

Anuradha Pingama, Acquisition and Assistance Specialist at srilankaprocurement@usaid.gov.

Any additional questions can be sent to the attention of Mr.
