BLM National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) Primary Announcement (Two Task Statements)

The Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) is a partnership of seven federal wildland fire management and research agencies that have a shared need to address problems associated with managing wildland fuels, fires, and fire-impacted ecosystems.

The partnering agencies include the U.

of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service (FS) and five bureaus in the U.

Department of the Interior (DOI):
Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, and Geological Survey.

The DOI is also represented by the Office of Wildland Fire.

Funding to support the program is provided by both DOI and FS.
