This program provides cost share assistance, through participating States, to organic producers.
Recipients must receive initial certification or continuation of certification from a USDA accredited certifying agent (ACA).
Program participants may be reimbursed for up to 75 percent
of their organic certification costs, not to exceed $750 per year.
Authorized by the Federal Crop Insurance Act in 2001, the Agricultural Management Assistance Program authorizes cost share assistance to producers of organic agricultural products in states with historically low rates of participation in the Federal Crop Insurance program.
